Looking at the horizon

in Swiss Alps at Rochers-de-NayeOn a recent weekend, I went hiking in the Swiss Alps at Rochers-de-Naye with my husband and one of our nieces.  When I looked out at the breathtakingly beautiful horizon, I thought about all that stretches out in front of me as I start yet another new chapter of my life.  I was honored to hold the post of Executive-in-Residence at IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland for the past two years (Sept 2010 – Aug 2012). I found it deeply satisfying to work in executive education programs with IMD faculty and participants from around the world.  While I will continue some work at IMD, my clients are happy that I again will have more time to work on other projects and I look forward to new opportunities to collaborate with them and others.  So, as at every other significant transition moment in my life, I am taking stock of all I have to be grateful for and I don’t have to look far!  If interested, also see my latest More Than 85 interview.

I loved when I lived abroad. I have lived in Asia and Europe and both had such fabulous experiences and memories. I now am looking forward to traveling across the US motorhome style!

I’ve done some hiking in Switzerland and loved every minute of it, but then I love hiking here in Germany as well.

What a wonderful opportunity. My parents sent me on a school trip to Austria in 9th grade- and I’ll never forget it and 40 years later and I never again went further than Mexico.
It seems like you really appreciate this great time in your life. Congrats.
